About the Breeder
I have been keeping and breeding turtles for over 30 years. As a young boy growing up South of New Orleans, or as we say, "N'awlins", I can remember spending my weekends with my younger brother catching turtles in the local bayous. I really got hooked when I started raising box turtles when I was 9 years old. In fact, I still have my favorite 3-toed box turtle from 1980. It wasn't until 5 years later when I traded a local pet shop owner for my first Redfoot tortoise named "Tulip". I named her this because she lacked the Red pigment on her scales. She is covered in Yellow scales that resembled the color of a Yellow Tulip flower. I'm also proud to say that she is still with me after all these years as a very personable pet.
For the past ten years I've worked as a breeder specializing in tortoises of African, Asian and South American decent. I strive on hatching out the hardiest, perfect, little baby tortoises. I take pride in delivering healthy and strong baby tortoises to my customers.. I also take pride when a customer e-mails me to share how pleased they are with their new family member. I enjoy going the extra step to educate potential new tortoise owners to ensure they are making the right decision for themselves and the tortoise.
